One of the many responsibilities that Human Resources Professionals undertake is hiring and firing of employees.
What are some common problems, what hot topics should employers avoid during these situations,

and what are some best practices to keep you and your organization out of trouble?

We will review some common situations, and give practical advice on how to steer clear of potential pitfalls.

Beth Truax joined the Human Resource Services Department of Mountain States Employers Council in 2003.

Ms. Truax worked for various companies in the Human Resources Role,

where she specialized in Employee Relations, Equal Employment Opportunities/Affirmative Action, and Recruiting.

Ms. Truax graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Colorado

with her Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Sociology,

and graduated with High Honors from Webster University with a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management.

Ms. Truax earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification,

and is an active member in the Society for Human Resource Management

and various Human Resources Organizations in Colorado.
